Question A question of SS Pickguard hole

As the photo you can see it's a difference from that two hole .
My question is how to let the original hole(left) change to another (right)?
Any friends have experience to done this mod? thx!

You want to enlarge the pickguard? It's fairly soft material, so you can route or file it.

I've just done exactly this with a Steve Morse Pickguard- I taped off the pickguard and used files to expand the area.

Other option is to order an aftermarket pickguard with larger pickup routes. You could contact Chander (pickguards.us).

yes, I want to enlarge it, because I am wondering change the pickup to a metal cover one, but the original hole just not fit.
I like to know what tools can expanding the hole and done just so accurate and perfectly.
