As I try to decide on my first Sterling (lefty of course) I have a question about pickups. I want the new two pickup model and I think I want a H/S, but I'm wondering if there is any switch setting that would turn the neck pickup into a single coil anyway? If not would it be possable? Noise and all I thing that would be a cool setup.
I know I'm not the most knowledgeable bass guitar guy, in fact I'm sure I'm bringing up the rear. All this is new to me, just asking... please be kind.
BUT if a humbucker could be split into a single coil pickup and no one has ever thought of it before, EBMM can have the patent as long as at the next open house I get a flammed lefty Sterling!
... I'm going to buy a Sterling either way.
