i have the action at 2/32nd or 1/16th at the twelth fret. what i am wondering is what it should be at at the last fret. that would involve wether i need to add or remove shims. right now mine is around 3/64th. sound about right?

*sigh* Put the ruler away. What feels good to you and your style of playing? Leave it there.

i always think that a guitar's action should be always be able to be adjusted to how you want, if the guitar cant do it, then thats bad. i have the odd strat where it wont go how i want, a mixture of the neck shape, fret size, and the fact its a bloody strat! with all my balls i can set the action exactly the way i want, which is pretty darn close to the factory settings, but ive never measured it. had to bring the Y2D's action down a tad, but not so its low, gotta be able to get underneath the string to bend it good!

Mine is self adjusting. It was buzzing when I bought it but after playing it a while it's perfect.
