I'm getting ready to place an order for my new stingray (lefty)

I'm having a real hard time deciding what type of pickguard to get

I'm ordering the ray in pacific blue burst , with maple neck.

Any suggestions , I'm leaning towards black but pearloid is still calling ?

What's your gut feeling? I know once I decided to buy my SR, I went through all these color combo's, gave myself a headache, and then went back to my first choice. I'd say trust your instincts and which guard caught your eye first..it's all about personal choice and the good thing is any decision you make is the right decision.

Rule-of-thumb (for me): If it's a solid finish ~ any pickguard pattern that sets it off well.

If it has grain showing ~ solid pg's only.

We do a fair amount of pickguard trading and selling and buying around here, so the good thing is - if you don't like the original guard, someone else will need it and someone else will have something interesting to try.
