OK, I've been wanting a dual humbucker AL for a long time. I've been happy with all my guitars for a good while now, but I can stand it no longer. I want a humbucker AL to compliment my SSS AL. How does the dual HB AL sound played clean/touch of dirt? I'm not too big on pedals and prefer the sound of a good guitar thru a good amp. Any one care to chime it? Thanks!

I've only had my HH AL for a couple of weeks now, but it's been played quite a bit. When I play clean I usually put the switch in position 2, and man it sounds brilliant. Nice chimey, yet controllable, clean.

If I want a bit of a fuller sound, I'll use position 1, and it sounds fantastic. Position 5 is all butter, baby.

The HH AL sounds fantastic for everything. Its really an awesome guitar all around. I've been playing one at GC through an Egnater Tourmaster with all sorts of settings, and its just brilliant. Like jam3v said, position 2 and 4 will give you some really nice clean tones...neck pickup is creamy and bridge pup screams on distortion...but sounds real nice on the clean channel as well. I really want one, but I will wait till winter NAMM to see what kind of crazyness comes up.

Thanks for the responses. I MUST have AL HH I'm afraid. Now I just need to decided between Vintage White and Mint Green...;)

Either way, you win! :)

Awesome colors on the HH ALs. BTW, the cleans are very very good. I love the in-between positions for cleaner tones. It's just a brilliant guitar. The tones, well, you'll see when you get yours. ;)

That's good to know Norrin, thanks! I kinda wondered about that. I'm a big fan of that all rosewood neck... just killer looking on the AL style African Mahogany body!

Since I already have two surf green/mint green guitars, I'm gonna go with the Vintage White. I've not seen one in person though. Is it more of a creamy yellowish color? I'm hoping it's not stark WHITE. Anyone have the Vintage White that would be kind enough to post some pics? :)

Checkout Blues Saraceno's demo of the AL HH as he puts it through the ringer, and shows you an assortment of tonal options.

Yeah, I've seen that video many times. ;) Great stuff and good explanation, but it sounds to me as if he's using a pretty thick fuzz pedal throughout the video.

That's my exact setup I use here and it's hard to beat.

It's definitely not stark white, I'll try and take some pics of mine.
