......????? I don't know! And as good as BP is to us, I don't anticipate him telling us until NAMM due to competitive reasons.

So know that we probably won't see any green tones or sparkles, what do you guys guess we may see?????

I personally would like to see something in the Blonde or Gunmetal or Rootbeer tones.

Also I would guess that the 20th Anniversary Silo may have it's own special colour or finish as well.

I'd like the limited color to be in a light blue tone... Something like "ice blue metallic" with chrome pickup covers. :D

WHAT COCOBIG, NO WHITE SPARKLE??????

Just kidding. Yah EBMM isn't going to give up anything until either right before or during NAMM.

As to the LE color, I hope it's a color that I like. ButterCream never really did anything for me.

I'd love that too!
Maple fretted Silo with whitish pick guard!!!! :D

Most of the EBMM colours are darker in nature. Something a little lighter would be great!

Purple with neon green lightning bolts and pink spots and a reverse headstock (2 up top, 4 underneath). Oh - wait that was a 1987 Jackson flashback.

Man that was nauseating.

How about a color change translucent stain? (I've suggested this before)

How about a faded denim color (PRS Modern Eagle such a cool look, but not EBMM)

And Finally (this one I'll actually place an order for):

A DePurple-Burst (DeMysticDreamBurst would be better) Quilt Petrucci 6-string with matching quilt headstock and a neck with some serious birdseye in it.

>^..^<

Well, I don't think EBMM would choose anything outrageous for a new LE color. They would want it to appeal to alot of buyers. So I'm gonna guess some sort of Blue. They've have alredy done a Red, Green, and off-White, so Blue is the next logical un-offending :D color.

So me and Coco agree, a Blue it will be!

here it is guys and dolls

Im ready for the second guessing and controversy.....

Black w/black headstock and all gold hardware. secret pickguard.... We will be letting you guys knowthe rest of namm next week. We will be sending out press releases but as is our latest m.o we will let you know first.

Woah, I just choked on my coffee ;)

I can wait for the release, but I'll ask anyway... will we see a the LE color on the Axis, with trans finish, or solid, if at all?

They've been doing it for a few years - I think this one is 4th. First was Radiance Red, then Envy Green, 2005 was Buttercream. And now - Black with gold hardware. I want one....

Hahaha! I promise I won't second-guess you, BP.

That sounds like a great color combination, and one that will sell. Can you leak a little more about the "secret pickguard"? i.e. Is it a secret color, secret texture, secret shape, secret decoder ring?

Also, can you tell us if the wah will be done in time for this NAMM show?

don't the radiance red models have a black headstock? or is that just the Petruccis?

Depends. The LE Radiance Red had black headstocks. Now that RR is a regular color, you can get matching or unpainted headstock.

Taken from the front page news.... (I think NorM is gonna go wild)

Ernie Ball Music Man Celebrates 30 years of the StingRay, 20 Years of the Silhouette and a New Limited Edition Package for 2006

[FONT=\"Arial,Helvetica\"][SIZE=-1]SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (December 7, 2005) -- Celebrating the popularity of
the StingRay bass and Silhouette guitar, two new anniversary edition
instruments will be offered in 2006. Blending original features with
modern improvements, these new models will debut at the 2006 Winter NAMM
show, taking place January 19-22 in Anaheim, CA.

StingRay
The 30th Anniversary StingRay will feature a mahogany body (a first for
any Music Man production instrument) with a translucent red finish,
figured maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Tipping its hat to the
original design, Music Man will offer a strings-thru-the body bridge,
along with a buffed polyester finish on the back of the neck. At the
heart of this Anniversary model is the distinctive Music Man humbucking
pickup and 3 band EQ, providing bassists the widest possible frequency
response and a fat full sound. A special custom-made neckplate will
commemorate this bass, along with custom 30th Anniversary logo and
graphics.

Silhouette
The 20th Anniversary Silhouette will feature a figured maple top with a
3-ply black, natural, black veneer underneath. Standard features include
a maple neck with the option of a rosewood or maple fingerboard and
Music Man Vintage Tremolo or fixed bridge. It also includes rear-mounted
electronics, buttercream position markers, a custom neck plate and 20th
Anniversary logo.

Limited Edition
Music Man introduces its 4th installment of its special-run Limited
Edition series with an all black finish and custom gold hardware
package. Available for a limited time only, this latest offering
includes all Music Man models except for the SUB series, Silhouette
Bass, Steve Morse Y2D, Benji Madden signature and all left-handed
instruments. Gold hardware includes the bridge, tuning keys, neck plate,
tremolo arms, control knobs and pickguard screws. An all black headstock
with a gold Music Man logo will match the hardware and overall theme.
These Limited Edition instruments will also feature a special 2006
Limited Edition gold silkscreen just below the neckplate. A custom
pickguard, rosewood fretboard and Limited Edition case will round out
the package.

“Music Man enthusiasts are drawn to the allure of special run
instruments, as there are only limited amounts available in 2006,” said
Derek Brooks of Ernie Ball. “These special runs are very popular among
the growing base of Music man collectors.”
