for the record i am using the ernie ball polish cloth that came with my jp6

does anyone else get this problem
when you are polishing fingermarks off just underneath the high e string where there is usually alot of marks (from pinkie resting there and such)
that little bits of the polish cloth attach themselves around the high e string?
and seem to be completely wrapped around it and locked on?
and then you be playing and youll hit a note on that string and it will be soft and dead
and you look down and go  not again

just wondering if i am the only one who gets this problem

Try clean sweat sock. Slip it on and go to town.

Those fuzzy things make polish cloth useless imo. I toss 'em out.

i tried that once.........but the salt from the sweat scratched the finish. made it smell funny too !!!!!! had to borrow the sock from vinnie though.....my feet don't sweat........
:D

i wouldnt polish with anything other than that polish cloth or a microfibre cloth
anything else is gonna leave tiny little scratches

I loved that polishing cloth that came from Ernie Ball. I wish I could find another one in stock locally.. I have other flannel polishing cloths, but they don't seem to work quite as well as the EBMM one.

I never had any issue with cloth particles clinging to my strings, though. Hmm. Do you have an unusually dry environment happening? (Dehumidifier running or something?)
