Hi,

I am glad to be joining this forum, I have to admit I had never really gone out of my way to try MM basses, however I was in the market for a new bass and have literally been bitten by the MM bug. I was planning on buying a Sei Singlecut 6str but was having aquick look around before I decided what I wanted, fortunately I spoke to a private dealer I always do business with and he had this bass in stock. I saw it and it was love at first sight.
So by the end of this week I should have a Limited Edition Buttercream Stingray HH.
I seriously can't wait, I know I should have checked them out long before now and I realise the error of my ways.

I can post the pics of it though, just so everyone can dribble as much as me :D Looking forward to hanging around here more often.

Welcome to the forum Rich. You made a great decision in going with the Stingray over the Sei. The advantage of the Stingray is that it's styling was not designed by crack addicts or by a crayon-wielding toddler with a poo fixation.

I'm not a cetaceanologist but I did play one on TV.

(That was really what I wanted to be until they told me I had to understand high-level math. Then I thought, "Hmm, Burger King is hiring.")

Please, swear to me that you'll never build a single cut. I know you wouldn't, but it would help me to sleep if I could see it in writing.

actually Dargie and I were kibitzing after the San Luis Obispo Liver Enzyme Destruction Party AKA Dargies Bdday......we were imagining a butt load of spalted gozinya wood and decided to make a single cut just for you! It will have thirty two frets and be 1/4 tones above the fifth fret and will have a super optical light sensing strap auto leveler....

If you do decide to build a bass out of some of that there gozinya wood, make sure you make all of the hardware out of unobtainium.
