was at gc boston today and noticed they had a purple tribute that "just came" in. Priced considerably higher than the past runs but played like a monster and had a killer quilt. Just out of curiosity when I got home a few minutes ago I checked the platinum site and it seems they have a whole bunch of pinks that just rolled in. Did they pick up another run of tributes?

The pinks are part of the GC anniversary month of August (49th) not sure about a purple maybe NOS or store transfer.

I hope they don't saturate the market on Pinks.........I think mine is special!! Limited Run?

Yeah I agree TSHOW! I have a green Tribute and I'd be a little upset if a ton more hit the market. But that happens in a lot of other industries also. Oh well, It's still an amazing guitar but yes I like it cuz it's exclusive too!

The platinum site has labeled them as tributes which is why I got so excited. Seems purple has started to roll out there too

I played that purple tribute at GC Boston yesterday too and it was very nice, they had a pretty good selection of ebmm guitars.

When I purchased 2 Tributes from GC as a "limited run" I thought that I had something that would retain its value. I hope I was right?????

Yeah I doubt its a new run, its just new old stock that was never sold. But im glad i got to play it, cuz ill never be able to afford it lol!

How about some sunburst Tributes? Purple and pink coming out of people's ears, never saw a sunburst offered at any time.

Correct me if im wrong, but dont the tributes have brown backs? Now that I remember the one at GC Boston had a black back, so if its not a tribute it should not be labled as such. And it was over 2k, last time I checked the regular axis goes for less, and I thought they didnt do quilts or matching headstock on the new production axis, nonetheless this was a beautiful guitar.

Tributes absolutely have brown backs........

Personally, I say "the more, the better." Certain colors are in high demand. I plan on, some day, owning a pink one. I don't care if it was first or second run. It's what I want. If you bought one of these for the purpose of "holding its value" I think that was a bit silly. But that's just my opinionated opinion.

2 of my local GC's got some in. One store got the Pink and the other got the purple. I tried the purple out the day I bought my JP13. I had my 8 year old with me and he loved it but he said the JP13 was more sparkley.......:)

Im buying myself one more by Xmas this year and it may be down to the Armada or the purple tribute...decisions, decisions....

Well, I didn't buy them to depreciate("holding its value"?). My EVH is worth way more than it was when I purchased it. "Limited Run", to me, means that they are "limited". I respectfully disagree.:):)
