All I asked for for Christmas was money for a new sterling. I was hoping you guys might know some places to check out. Especially ones that might have the new 2 pick-up models (if they are out yet?) I'm heading to Phoenix for a few days tomorrow and am looking to pick up my first MUSICMAN!!!!

I've only had a few posts before, but read the threads all the time. Keep up the good work boys and girls.

Thanks,
Mike

Yeah...Vintage Bass Trading Co.

Dude should be back in town (I think) in the next day or so.

Good Luck!
James

Don't know if the Dude's place actually has a storefront, though. I think it's mail order only.

There's three Guitar Centers in the general phoenix area (that I know of): west phoenix, ahwatukee & scottsdale. I was in the ahwatukee one the other day, and while they had 2 sterlings, a couple stingrays and a bongo, none of the sterlings or srs were dual pup models.

Another, smaller, store is The Bass Place in Tempe. They have their stock online on their website.

I don't think any retailers other than GC have started getting any dual pup models except the buttercreme ones, yet.

hmmm, guitar centers got dual pup models??? I will have to check that out, though I hate being disloyal to my local shop.

I'm 99% Internet orders only and work out of my home way up NW is Sun City West so I generally have no standing inventory here in stock...depends on the day as to what I may have here or not but I do have customers come here by appointment at times.

GC is the only EBMM dealer to have gotten any double pickup basses except for Buttercreams. The BC dual peecup Ray's I got in are already shipped back out to my customers.
