I haven't been hanging around as much as I should have. And I realized the other day, it's been far too long since i've bought a new guitar.
When I looked it up on the calendar, it showed me that the time for the fortieth anniversary of the silhouette guitar is coming near.
Does anyone have any interest?
 
That would be cool, would have been interested but due to life changes, guitar buying days are closed, well at least for now :)

20 years ago I fell in love with a weird metallic pea soup colored Silo in a music store and I still kick myself for not buying it. 3 EBMM guitars and 2 EBMM basses later I still don't have a Silo for some reason.

I don't know what I was thinking when Neptune Blue passed and I didn't get one. Mojo, would you post a pic please
My favorite options I have seen include:
Natural ash body
translucent finishes. (there is one silhouette at the factory with 3 humbuckers and a yellowish reddish burst finish I saw once)
piezo (The Silhouette / Albert Lee setup with 3 knobs and no switch)
Roasted necks (only if sterling says it improves the functionality of the instrument, not just looks)

I think Steve Morse roasted the neck on his #1 just by playing it so much :)
 
LOL Norm, since NAMM has come and gone and no mention of an anni Silo guessing either going to be like a special BFR run or wait until the 50 and at that point I wont have an interest , too old :)
 
Didn’t they present the 50th StringRay bass? Unfortunately, that was probably enough of a celebration
