Anyone want an SR-30th?

After much thought - I have decided that the SR-30th is not for me and I know it will not get any playing time. Thus, it is for sale. I have it listed on TB - here is the link: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=277181

I got this bass and a Bongo 4H in trade from James Hill for my Sad*wsky MV4. I have only played it to "try it on" and it had not been out of my house - thus it is in excellent shape - no issues. According to Steve Barr - this is one weighs 9.2 lbs. It is light and easy on the shoulder.

PM me if you have any interest.

Can't do any trades - thanks.

I am just SO glad these things don't have 5 strings.

I'm going to be in a lot of trouble next year.

I think we all want one. There's just that money part. :(

Would love to get it off your hands but the 2007 line looms over the horizon.:o

For me the opposite is true. Anything with more than 4 strings is useless to me. I will therefore (fortunately) be immune to the temptations of the Anniversary SR5, the Sterling 5, and the Bongo 6, although I certainly look forward to seeing them. If EB ever offers a production Bongo 4 with a rosewood neck, though, I'll be standing in line. I took a shot at the CLB bass, but the final price was a little out of my range.

Back on topic, 9.2 lbs is the lightest I've heard for a 30th. Mine is about a pound heavier, but still lighter than I expected. Somebody needs to snap this one up.

I wish I'd had first shot at that one!

9.2 is like the anti-gravity 30th.

Nonetheless, mine rocks and this one shouldn't last long.

I know it is an LE, but from a players standpoint it just seems like alot compared to a regular SR 4, which is a fab playing bass. No trades, huh?

No, it's much better sounding than a regular 4. To be honest I'm not a big fan of 'regular' 3-band SR4's. For me I like 2-bands, and I prefer the gloss necks of the older stuff. So when I first tried one I was blown away by what the mahogany body does, and I love the neck more than any other non-gloss MM I've ever owned.

Cat - got the PM - thanks for the interest. Keep watching this thread. If it is still available when you are ready we'll talk.

Yeah - sorry guys and gals - no trades. With 2 DDs on order I need to downsize a bit.
