Question Are Music Man hard shell cases universal?

I have a '93 Silhouette w/Floyd Rose.

I'm wondering if any Music Man hard shell case will fit this guitar or if there are certain cases for certain models, etc.

the old cases, without the label on it - yes
with the new ones, i guess only the cases with the label "music man - guitar case".
the JP cases are made only for the JP models, and of course the 7-string cases are made a bit different as well.

Also some of the older cases (G&G?) are a bit smaller and do not fit all models. I don't think they were plastic molded, though. They have the leather looking vinyl on the outside. I had one that fit my Sub 1 and Axis SS but not an Axis (trem bar in the way) or Al.

The new plastic cases with the red label will fit an AL and an Axis, I know because I have tried!

Anyone know much about the construction of the SKB cases? I've just bought one from a UK based music shop and am not happy with it - the bottom fur covered styrofoam moulding shifts inside the outer shell as a result of the glue coming loose, which seems to be the retainer for the aluminium lip as it needs a nudge to line the seal up when closing.

I'll be calling the retailer tomorrow but wondered if it was a known issue so I have some background before I push for a refund or compensation. No new case should come with the innards slopping about - especially as it's for my mint Luke 2!
