Are there different pickups in the HH Stingrays?

I just got back form GC and tried out a couple of 'Rays and I tried out the HH Ray and noticed it has the same pickups my Bongo has, but a different pre-amp.


The regular ray had a totally different sound happening, are the pickups different?

Those are just the pickup covers. The HH Ray has a regular Stingray pickup in the bridge position and a newly designed Stingray pickup in the neck position.

No Bongo pickups in Stingrays..............
