I played an Axis with a piezo today, and of course the quality of the guitar was without question. However for you people that have one, how do you deal with the controls so close together? Its almost impossible to adjust the volume without knocking the tone. Does anyone have this problem?

I've never had the problem with the 2 piezo Axis' I have.

Then again I always leave all the controls on full!

Agreed..and the trem bar only makes the congestion worse. :(
I'd certainly prefer:
upper bout toggle for mags
lower bout toggle for piezo/mag selector
push/push pot on tone for coil splits
offset (not all in line) control for piezo volume
Having said that..I use the right pinky for vol tweaks on the piezo (the tone pot isn't an issue unless I'm tweaking the mag's volume..then it's cramped)

If I must use the trem a lot, I'll tighten it up a bit and swing it out of the way of the controls (pointing to rear strap button) so as to have more room to operate.

Visually, the control layout is nice, but practically I find it a bit of an obstaclt course. ;)
