Hey guys,

How's it going here in the good 'ol EBMM guitar forum? I've not been posting here for a few months since I've been tied up with school in a big way. (PhD theses are a pain to write). It looks like I've missed out on a lot of fun what with Big Poppa posting quite regularly and all :) (which I think is the coolest thing to have happenned). Anyway, I'm back now and hopefully will be able to post more regularly.
Glad to be back!

Cool! No offense ment just a play on the SN...ha! Hows that PHD going brotherman?

None taken. It's going allright man, but I feel like an abused whammy bar with all the work :D

I feel for you, Supreeth. My wife is working on her dissertation right now, getting her Doctorate in Education. She'll be done by December, but it's been a long process. Having 2 young kids has sidetracked her a bit, but she's back on track and plowing ahead.

Hi Supreeth,

what is your PhD thesis all about, which field are you in? I finished my PhD thesis last year and had my public defense on September 17th. I'm a pharmacist and my thesis is about radiolabelled tracers for in vivo visualisation of Alzheimer's disease.

'Nuff said, good luck writing it, it's all cool when the writing is done.

Tom

Thanks guys. It's totally great being back here!

OC, I totally hear you on project deadlines bro. They suck. The les said about them , the better :)

Steve, hats off to your wife for undertaking such a great endeavor while having to also manage a young family. She must be a very organized and goal oriented person.

Tokkes, I am working on my PhD in Computer Science and am specializing in Information Security.

Supreeth,

Did I mention that my wife also works full-time as a school psychologist?
Yeah, she's very organized, and goal-oriented for sure!
Her dissertation has to do with the impact of intern supervision on job satisfaction among school psychologists, or something like that... ;)

Wow...I work on guitars....Now I am going to sit in the corner and sob :o
Oh ya? Try this on... I put my EX-wife through University, working full-time at a ****ty job and foregoing my own education to support her, myself and my daughter, and two weeks before she graduates she leaves me for one of her profs!!

I should get a t-shirt made: I paid for a Phd and all I got was screwed!

Man, it's a good thing it was a long time ago or I'd be rustin' my strings too! :(

Oh ya... Supreeth, nice to see ya again buddy! :D

Wow Jimi..That sucks. And I was kidding on my post. My wife makes TONS more $ than I do, but she knows I love guitars, and that for me to be able to work on them for a living makes me happy, so she is cool with it. My son just got a job schlepping packages around and to START he is making $0.50 an hour less than I do, but I bet I am happier ;)

Oh god. This means I will feel like abused whammy bar pretty soon too :-( I'm starting grad school this fall.....

Supreeth, at least you can make it to the board once in while, so it's not that bad, is it?

Jimi D...

man.. that SUCKS!

How can people like that live with themselves?

Well, you're a better man than I am. Had that happened to me, there would be one less professor in the world...
