Best Year???

Any modern-era Stingray, as far as I'm concerned. Better after '95 or so. I realize that puts me in the minority, and the pre-Ernie Ball fans will come along soon enough to offer other viewpoints, but.........

....the best Stingrays ever built are being built right now. That's my opinion!

(And yes, I've owned "both kinds" of Stingrays.)

Thats an interesting view, one that i cant really disagree with. due to my lack of stingray experince, and compared to the mighty collection of yours bovine...But i have found the older Ray's slightly 'chunkier' to play and i prefer that, My 92 has a slightly heavier body to that of any newer Ray i have played and i feel that this makes it sit nicer when on stage etc. And another question, what are the benefits, details on Birdseye Maple necks? and do EB still use them on the new basses?

Thanks...Brad
