I'm having the best day possible today. First off I discover the EB's shreddster radio over on EBMM's main site. Then after re-reading the neck FAQ based on a post from Jon, I inquired over at Birchwood Casey looking for their product, since I cannot find it here, and here's what they said: (BTW they responded in like 10 min's)

I've been meaning to get this stuff for a while, so appreciate the thread guys.

I don't see the wax anywhere, but seems it can be ordered from B-C directly. Stupid question- the FAQ says to use Birchwood-Casey's "Tru-Wax", however on the B-C site all I find is "Gun Stock Wax".

I'm assuming this is the same stuff? (BTW- anyone in Canada find a local dealer?)
 
Yeah gun stock wax is what you need. I spent some time googling for B-C tru-wax and it only seemed to appear on the ernie ball FAQ site!!! Theres a thread on this board where the boardie used gun stock wax and it worked a treat...
 
Aight, I've done some snooping to track this stuff down. B-C won't ship either of these internationally due to restrictions on shipping chemicals across the border. I assume US retailers will be operating under the same restrictions.

There are some distributors in Ontario though. Bowmac Gunpar - 613-831-8548 has it in stock and can direct you to a local delear. In Toronto they sell to "Giovanni's" - 416-633-7597. Gionvanni's has the oil in stock but not the wax, so I've ordered some through them and aim to get it next week.

True story.

Who did you try? B-C? Or Glenn's link? B-C said they wouldn't ship it (on the online site and via phone). I didn't try to order via Glenn's link because they didn't have the wax in stock, but maybe they're cool with it.

I emailed B-C direct, with my address and everything, that's why I made this thread I was ecstatic that I finally found this stuff, only to fall down and have others kick dirt on me (remember those muscle ads in the comic books)

Anyhoo, I'm gonna email the same dude, tell him I'm Canadian and see what he says...if he won't ship I guess I'll have to find an alternative :(

i got mine from my local gunshop ....he sells rifles and carrying cases ammo..but i am in nova scotia .....cabela's will work fine for us though!!!

Sorry thought the info was pertinent enough for Canadian MM owners to know about without starting a new thread (An Update)....i am sure it will die soon anyway as this applies only to or is relevant only to Canucks.
