Last month my wife organised a surprise birthday party including these amazing cakes.

It was such a shame to eat them but hey it was a party.

Ah someone older than me for a change . . . . and from Surrey too .. I saw Jethro Tull at a pub in Tolworth (Toby Jug) in '68 just before their 1st album 'This Was'.
Blew me away and I'm still playing . .good to see you are too. . I'll be interested to see the cake in another 5 years . . .

Your wife must be one in a million, nay billion.

Hope it was the best birthday ever. Here's to many more.

Dave, It takes a special kinda wife to put an SR5 on your birthday cake! Maybe one day i will have one that loves me enough to do something like that!

Happy 60th Birthday!

Thanks for all your good wishes. Yup my wife has been my partner and best friend for just over 26 years but I don't know why she singled out the red SR5 over an above my other MM basses. Maybe because she found the picture on the EB site.:)

If 40 years ago someone had said to me that I'd still be gigging when I was 60 I would have laughed and told them to **** *** but I am and I intend to keep on playing as long as I can. :D

Great sentiment! Keep on playin' man. You're never too old! Happy belated Birthday.
