Okay, so I missed it by one day....
Yesterday was the DOB for my Bongo 5 HHp, Desert Gold, tort.
Doesn't seem like a year...I've had a BALL (yuk, yuk) trading jibes with you knuckleheads and participating in the general mayhem.
More importantly, I've had the privilege of playing such a fine bass for that time.
This thing kicks ass. Period. I still get all jiggly thinking about it, and that's never happened with any previous instrument.
I still owe Pete DuBaldo a purchase for being kind enough to let me invade his shop a year ago, with all my gear in tow, to do an a/b comparison with my then-current bass...KNOWING that I would not buy the bass from him.
Pete: If the coming developments in 07 are remotely like I think they will be, rest assured there will be an order coming your way.
I've had arrows slung at me, and I've slung a few of my own. I've been shamed, and I've levied shame. In the end, it's all good...I'm dammed proud to be part of this crew!
