I was giving my SR4 a rub down after learning some new stuf for the band last night. Which ever way the kitchen light caught the back of the body, I could see two straight lines running along the length of the body. One is about 10mm above the battery housing and the other was higher up. It looks as though the body was originally 3 pieces - Is it normal to be able to see the body joint lines through the finish on a MM bass?

Yeah my translucent red fretless I can see the body join as well

Heh--if they made all of their basses from one piece bodies, none of us could afford them.
