Bongo Soundclips

Yeah, that link was posted twice already, I think. I tried searching the board for it, but it seems like you can't search for anything that's older than the date of this board's facelift. My powers are fading!!!

Anyway, I'll repeat what I said on those other posts: I'm not too fond of these samples. They've got the Bongo running through effects and other stuff in the background that "distort" the true sound of the Bongo. I'd rather have a clean sample of the Bongo. So the website I prefer is...

Bassmonkee's!
http://www.mindspring.com/~jshew2/Bongo5.htm

He's got two or three sound clips on there with a clean Bongo sound, so you can listen to what it _really_ sounds like - not what someone _wants_ it to sound like. Praise the Bassmonkee!

Just a little note for youse looking for a Bonger sometime in the long run: I plan on getting myself a Bonger sometime in the Fall this year. I'll try to make as many sound clips as possible so the Bongo-less can evaluate for themselves. That is, if Bassmonkee or some other Bongan hasn't already made a grip by then. Honestly, word-of... erm... word-of-text is good, but I think the sound samples will help us all out even more.

Maybe this can actually be a project by the Bongans on this board? To spread the word of the Bongo? Maybe the Rod will host the samples on his page!
