Since it was the Thanksgiving break, I had some free time and decided to try out the different strings I have stored again. This meant trying out a set of DR Hi-Beams Extra Lites (30-90  ) and TI Flats. So after I played around a bit with the flats, I put my Bongo down and noticed something on the neck:

What is that? I gently kind of scratched it and it felt like a thin layer of plastic or something. Is some kind of finish peeling off? What can I do to prevent this from happening again?

Oh, BTW, I'm actually digging the flats. I said in previous posts that I thought they sounded too "dead" for my liking, but with a little mid boost on the Bongo, I'm getting awfully nice sounds! Maybe I'll keep them on! :p
