I've had my heart set on a Sterling, but as of late I've been researching more into the Bongo. One big question I have is about the case! I can't seem to find anyone that offers a Music Man case with the Bongo, but everyone has one with the Sterling (and the SR4/5)!!
Do you not make a case for the beast?

Cases for Bongos are not available from MM. With all the subtle hints Bongo owners and the Lord Bongo himself have been dropping, you'd wonder why not. Go figure!

So...let me get this straight...you spend all this money on some fancy revolutionary bass...that has an out there body styke, and you have to jury-rig a case?

The Bongo 4 will fit into a EBMM StingRay case with a tiny bit of remolding (that is where Kermit resides right now)... The 5 is a different story... Bass Central has a case especially made for it that has met with mixed reviews. Also it has been stated that you can get a gig bag and use an SKB Bass Safe.

EBMM makes one of the best basses on the market, but if you do a forum search, we are all pretty much in agreement that they dropped the ball on this one.

There are a number of cases out there that will hold the Bongo 4 - I had mine in my Fender Jazz case for a while.

But, with the 5 string model, your only choice is the G&G case from Bass Central.

It's not a HORRIBLE case. Just not much room for acc's. inside and the latches are suspect, but it does fit perfectly and protects the bass well.

Yes, I should have said those things. I sometimes assume that everyone's been around long enough to remember why I didn't seem happy with the Bongo 5 cases.

My bad.
