A big thanks to Doug for getting me a great deal on this! :D :)

Coolness that is a good lookin bass you got there. New bass day is a very good day!! :D :D I wish I new how you guys take such good pictures!!

That plain black is one of the best looking Bongos Ive seen. If it had a tort I might mess my pants. Congrats on the great bass.

Looks like plain black. Very nice, man. Yeah, tort it up or put a white moto on it and you're the big cheese, eh?

the trick to good pictures is natural light during the day

but no actuall sun glare on the finish

so like the shade and such

another good tip is have a good camera

by the way

what camera did you use for the shot

I like the white pick guard. It makes it look like a penguin who had a bit of an accident with something awfully heavy.

Actually, it has a tuxedo look to it, in a cool way.

Thanks for the comments, guys! Oh, man. I'm really digging this bass.

And, yes, it is plain black. So beautiful.... :D

As for the pickguard, I think I'll keep the white one on there. I've got a limited budget and most of it was spent on this Bongo. In fact, I was thinking about flaunting it around town nude! :p

And Jubs, I used a Canon PowerShot S230 for the photos.

Sweet. I really dig the gloss black. If I'd had a choice, I'd have chosen that over the balck sapphire, but I like 'em both.

Enjoy it. They really are amazing instruments, aren't they? :D

Indeed, they are! Today, I took it to church for praise and the sound was killer! I got a little carried away with my sound and had to be told by the pastor to turn it down. :p Anyway, both the praise leader and the drummer commented on the great sound improvement. This bass is awesome!

Noteworthy is how powerful the Bongos are! The volume knob wasn't even half-way and the Hartke Kickback 15 combo amp was shakin' as if it the cone was about to explode! So the praise leader has actually given me the green light to scope out a better combo amp for praise. Schweet. :D
