We played in the World Battle of the Bands competition on tueday nights, and won our heat. Yay!. But anyways every other band there marvelled the sound the Bongo was producing. They all had to have a try after the comp, and one of the comments was the extremely fast neck.
So yeah just thought i would post another successful Bongo story

I think this happens quite usually. And especially
1)when the audience votes
2)when the band has A LOT of friends(in Manchester students) who they can call to vote for them

etc

Also I'm very disappointed by the modern music scene in the UK(not that the US is better).

The last battle of the bands we played in the club's sound man was the brother of the bass player in the winning group! Do you think that might have had something to do with the outcome?
