Did MM offer "Ebony" fretboard as an option in the 70/80's on the stingray? Not the Cutlass. Was there different neck widths"? Thanks

They did offer Ebony but I believe it was in the 80s and not 70s. Aussie Mark has a 1976 Rosewood fretless and Pino Palladino has a 1979 Rosewood fretless.
The only fretless neck available in 1980 was Ebony.

Yes, but only for fretted Maple necks. They offered a "narrow" neck which I believe was similar to the Fender Jazz Bass with its narrower neck.

Well my 1980 Cutlass has an all graphite neck. Not a sign of ebony anywhere.

Yeah Dave...pretty sure that's the case with all Cutlass Basses.
If there was probs with the neck, they had to make them fretless after planning.
