Me and my Bongo have returned, in one piece (respectively), from the Bumblefoot tour in Europe. I had the freakin time of my life! Couldn't possibly include all the details... just gonna spit out random thoughts...

Shows were great. Bongo got lots of questions and attention. I was told more than once that the sound of my bass was awesome. Some people even thought my PLAYING was good. :) Got to jam onstage with a couple of other respected musicians including Guthrie Govan (freaking amazing guitarist and great guy). Also, if ya'll don't know Bumblefoot yet I urge you check him out www.bumblefoot.com . I've been doing my variation of the Jaco thing and telling people lately that I play bass with the greatest guitarist in the world. They usually just look at me like I'm a jerk, but then if they listen - they don't argue. It's the closest I'll ever come to being able to use that jaco line. I'm really stoked to be playing with this dude.

Met Patrice and did a little tour of his factory there. Seems like a super nice guy - if you read this, it was nice to finally meet you after hearing so much about you.

What else? The girls in Brighton England blow away the girls in Russia. The showers in France are weird, they need to learn to hang the damn things on the wall. I will not stand and poop in a hole in the floor at a reststop bathroom. There was nothing dangerous going on in Paris, we were there at the height of it all when CNN was claiming Paris was burning. We were LOOKING FOR IT, and were grossly dissapointed. The news is what I always knew it to be. I had a great time while away, but it's also nice to be back home.

that's about it for now. I missed you guys. a few obligatory pics, of course:

Sounds like a great time! Too bad I missed having a couple drinks with you in NYC last week; maybe next time.

Guthrie Govan is a fantastic player, as well as a really all-around great, humble, sincere dude. Rock on Joe!!!

That's so awesome that you got to see Patrice's set up, what was it like? I need to visit him soon!

I think we're still waiting on the pictures of the Russian girls, are we not?
