Well, at least one of us teenagers snagged a buttercream. I was so close to getting the HSC SR5 w/ rosewood. SO CLOSE!!!!!

Oh well. I got a black sparkle SR4 coming in tommmorow. I'm good.

I know how you feel, but I'd rather have a buttercream hs Sterling now than wait 3 more months for any other color.

the red one in the last pic is, but the blue is a stingray, it's just the one they did without the control plate...

Wow, I never woulda seen that was a Ray, but looking at the head, I can see that it definately is. That's cool though.

Is the pickup positioning on the blue ray just about the same as on the sterlings? One thing that turned me off to the bongo HH models was how close the neck pu was to the neck, though I never played a bongo HS. I barely had and room to work in there.

Its the same just the S are obviosuyl smaller then a H

Well, I guess, but I noticed that the neck H pick up on the Stingray seemed to be farther from the neck than the neck H pu on the bongo. I was wondering would the neck H be the same on the sterling (and yes I know I'm getting an HS).

Also just wondering if the HS pu positioning on the sterling is the same as the Ray, as in the picture.

Im not good at comparing bongos to stingrays, but id imagine the pup location of stingrays and sterlings would be similair.
