the back of the neck on the JP proto? I'm just curious as to how the mahogany looks oiled and waxed. If I'm not mistaken, I believe mahogany is considered a porous wood as opposed to maple. Was it challenging to finish the mahogany with the oil and wax? As far as feel, can you give some descriptions compared to your awesome oiled/wax maple necks?

maple & mahagony are both porous......w/ very similar filling required. mahogany typically a little more porous.
