ok ... broke up with my girlfriend, again (thsi time its final). Im sad, im bummed it, sucks, yada yada .... so im considering buying myself a new guitar to cheer myself up. not sure, but figure its a possibility...

Guys help me pick what to get...

I have a JP6, an ASS MM90 and a 20th Silo on order (yes, im a whore). for those who dont know... I play mostly punk and metal and stuff like that but do venture into blues for fun. im also afraid of matching headstocks.

Pete what's in stock?

ps: i just realized i typo-d "Lee". oops, i feel dumb

Arin, you just opened yourself up for trouble on this one. First off, I'm sorry to hear you broke up with your girlfriend, unless it is for the better, in which case congratulations!

I've got a gorgeous SSS Albert here... Great blues guitar and versatile all-around with the 5 way switch - I haven't tried playing any punk with it.

Mr. Duckk,

Sorry to hear about your situation but on a good note a new guitar may just fix the problem!! Being a big fan of Black Flag I used my newly acquired mm90 equipped AL and I have to say it sounded amazing. We only played "TV Party" though. I also used my AL for some heavy A.I.C. like "Ain't Like That" and "Them Bones". There is nothing, I repeat, nothing this guitar can't handle.

C'mon Pete,

Since I'm in Vegas now, I bet that $85 bucks would rent you a midget and you could light him/her on fire:eek: just something to think about :p :p

As you know you can't go wrong with any of them. I can vouch for both the AL/90's (my vote since you already have an ASS) and the Rosewood. Great feel on the rosewood neck. I believe there's used one for sale with a piezo on the forum now which would also expand your available tones (play those Green Day acoustic #'s without switching axes).

The other way to look at it is you've got 90's and humbuckers covered including the 20th silo. Go for singles with the Albert or the Luke to expand your tonal possibilities. Pete'e stock burst is sweet

Ok I basically endorsed all of them and been no help - but maybe gave another way for you to look at what you want.

Look at it this way - if you get the Rosewood the headstock is natural and yet matching at the same time. This could help you get over your matchastockaphobia.
You've already come to the dark side with sigs - open your mind and see the colors of the matching stock :p

Well I voted for a Luke - I'm wanting to test drive one of these myself!
I am sure whichever one you decide on - it will be one helluva guitar:D
