well as most of you know i recently took a trip to the home land, canada

when i came back down to muggy kansas i noticed a mistery liquid on my bridge

now normally the suspect would be cat pee , but as some of you know cat pee smells HORRID

so i was wondering. could condensation from the climate chane build up on my bridge like the sweat on a toilet
and
is there anything you guys would recomend for polishing a bridge
 
Are you saying that you took the bass with you to Canada, and when you returned and opened the case, there was condensation on the bridge? Anywhere else on the bass, or just the bridge? It could be just condensation. If so, just wipe it off. If you really want to polish your bridge, the best stuff would be chrome polish that is used on chrome parts on cars and bikes.
 
I recently played next to a lake at an evening gig. Best way to fix moisture is some WD-40 sprayed on a rag. Wipe the bridge down with that. Not a heavy coart but it will clear the moisture if not over done. Also my neck is still where it was before the gig. So much for the unfinished neck business as far as I am concerned.


That lake gig was like playing in the rain. Cooled down and muggy Kansas became down right flooded. Had to run the heater to keep the windsheild clean on the way home just to see and it was still almost 80 degrees.

I also wiped the neck and strings every chance I got. My SR 5 survived the whole deal better than my Fender Jazz did the last time I played in similiar circumstances.

I don't even think a bit of WD-40 hurts the TI flats as I haven't seen any negative results from hitting them with the cloth that I sprayed it on wiped the bridge and then a quick swipe down the strings.

The neck got only the dry towel treatment.
