Serial is E23703. I am guessing 2001 or 2002.

IMO, it has to be a 2001 Bass (the first half of that year or perhaps, even July)....
FOR COMPARISON ( some Sting Ray 5 Serials):
E20428...Jan 2001.
E20435...Jan 2001.
E23553...Owner purchased new in 2002. However, that doesn't make it a 2002 Bass. It could have easily been made in 2001.
E24496...(last digit may be a 5) 17 July 2001.
E24708..Described as a year and a half old (as at Mar 2003). That would make it a 2001 Bass.
E25509...Oct 2001.
E26439...Nov 2001.
E27468...Nov 2001.
E27688...Dec 2001.
