i got a cheap knock off of a e.b. stingray body on ebay and want to build it up. the neck pocket has the deminsions of a fender so i'll probaly but a jazz neck on it. can anyone recommend a good book or have any advice as to how to put everything together right? im a little nervous, when i put on my straplocks a couple years ago, after about 2 months one of the holes striped out and the screw came all the way.

...are both books you won't regret getting. In fact, every guitar and bass player should own the second one. Had you owned a copy, you would have realised that the stripped screws in the strap button wasn't your fault, and that there's a simple fix to it.
