I'm curious if the factory has started making the Buttercreme instruments yet. Do you make them all in a big batch or do you make them as the orders come in? I've got a Fretless Bongo 5 w/ lines in buttercreme on order and was just wondering if it had even started it's life.

thanks,

Andrew

I'm in the same boat awaiting a LE Bongo.
My dealer told me SLO makes them in batches
and expects his delivery within a couple weeks

I ordered mine just a couple days before yours was ordered and I would guess we would be in the same batch. If it's only a couple weeks , I would be greatly suprised. Although my dealer did say sometime in march.

When I bought the bass, my dealer said it would
be in by 4/1/05 (he talked with someone @ SLO).
I saw him on Saturday & he said he ordered (2)
additional LE's for his store & his order (or the
SLO batch?) should be in within a couple weeks??

Don't shoot the messenger if they're not in our hands
in (2) weeks - I can't wait either. I bought another
bass, due this week, to hold me over

No shooting will come from me. I've tried to just keep her(Bongo) off my mind so I don't go crazy. I know the wait will be worth it.

Andrew

I'll refrain from holding you... :D

Andrew, I think Dargin may be able to provide feedback
on the buttercream spraypainting.

If you start a new thread but entitle it "Don Julio 1942"
he's sure to read it :D

Andrew,

If I remember correctly you ordered your bass through Willies. If so, then your bass has not been started.
