Calling Derek/ SUB

In your opinion, if you have one; Is the Sterling SUB a better sounding easier playing bass than the SUB? also, I would like to know if the Sterling SUB neck can be put on the Sub. The reason for my quizing is my left hand is somewhat crippled with part of my middle finger missing and I think the slimmer neck on the Sterling SUB would make it easier for me to play.
I DO LIKE MY ACTIVE SUB.

Bass Pastor,

The Sterling SUB's neck is narrower and should facilitate an easier technique. Unfortunately the Sterling SUB and SUB do not share the same neck pocket so the necks would not be interchangeable.

We should have these in the stores within a couple of months. Give it a try.

I'll let you know when they hit the store, I'll have to go to Dallas to try one. The closest EB dealer about thirty miles from me will not order one right away unless I tell him I will buy it for sure.
I had a Dean once, the slim neck on it had a great feel, can't say much else for it though.

Please do share once you get to try it out. I love the SR's, but the neck is a tad too thick for my form. From what I've read, I'm guessing the Sterling will strike a chord with me. With the release of a Sterling SUB on the way, I'm all set.

I've had two or three Sterlings and loved them all. I am just a creature of habit - every time I head for the door and need a bass, my first thought is always, "Which Stingray?" Or lately, "Which Bongo?"

But the Sterlings are one of the best production basses on the planet, and the necks are absolutely wonderful. I just never "bonded" with mine, I guess.

Hey Rev, where in TX are you? I'm in SATX right now but will probably be moving somewhere north of Dallas before the summer's over - maybe sooner if we score this house we're looking at.

You don't see Sterlings often on eBay, do you? Anyone have an idea of how much it usually sells for on eBay?

I sold a dead mint white sparkle with rosewood a couple of months back for about 800, which is right where it should be.

650 for a beater, 800 for a pristine (used) would be my scientific wild-ass guess.
