Can a Bongo properly drive a poweramp?

I would like to know if anyone has had success plugging their bongo straight into a poweramp, bypassing the preamp.

The poweramp in question is the Acoustic Image Focus SA.

I have heard that the preamp in the bongo is very powerful. I am just wondering if the output is strong enough to properly drive a poweramp.

If this would work I would seriously consider buying a Stealth Bongo HH.

Nope. Won't work in a gig situation. I've tried it with a Series III Focus SA. When I ran the Bongo through a pre into the SA, I could have the volume of the Focus on 2 and it would be LOUD. When I plugged the Bongo directly into the SA, I had to have the volume on 5 simply to be practice volume.

It's simply not designed to be driven by a bass output.
