Can an SSS Cutlass be converted to HSS? Any routing involved?

I'm thinking of making up a second pickguard with an HSS pickup configuration and I'm wondering how much of a PITA it's going to be and if it's worth it. BTW, it's a 2017 sunburst model. Rosewood board not baked neck. It think the model changed after this model was made.

It's fine on a 2018 RS model and I don't think the bodies have changed. Take the pickguard off the next time you change your strings.

It was HSS standard on the 2017 as well I believe. Only 16 wasn’t
