hi everyone,
I bought my stingray last year, and according to the store i bought it from, it was manufactured in 1992. Ever since I got it, it seems like there has been quite a bit of fret buzz all up and down the neck. I have tried just about every combination of truss rod tightness + string height there is, and I still get an unusual amount of buzz, unless I raise the strings to a level that is almost unplayable. I've played other stingrays where the action is nice and low, and there is no fret buzz at all, so I'm pretty sure there is something wrong with my bass. I'm a little hesitant to take it into a luthier, especially if it is something I can fix myself... Any ideas or opinions on what might be happening would be very much appreciated.
