century post

Hey well done Fred.....next one is the 1,000 mark - see ya there.

On the bride - nope don't think it made it over here, and I work in the news so hear most things. To be honest UK media focuses on Washington most of the time.....or what the senate is going to accuse UK MPs of next.....

still coming out with a comment like that is hardly welcoming to newer members, and those of us who are pleased to have contributed constructively to the discussions.

This whole thread is supposed to be funny. Or at least it came across that way. Usually when people go on about their post counts, it's usually done in jest.

Usually when someone inserts :) :p ;) :D in their postings it indicates their just joking and/or teasing. I've never made any negative comments about anyone's contribution to this forum or anything else.

I thought the irony was funny - that's all. It was just supposed to be a joke.

:)

See, that's the problem. Over here, the rule is to *ignore* Washington.. otherwise you'll go crazy! ;)

Who can keep up with all the posturing and rhetoric? Our senate spent a whole week patting themselves on the back for finally agreeing to do what they're paid to do. (Referring to the 'deal' to actually vote on judicial nominees instead of abusing the filibuster.) Only in DC.
