Yea that is a really nice one people! It is my favourite JEM, and I dont even mind the maple board, and I dont generally like maple boards. Man, wouldnt that be great if EBMM made a guitar with some kind of nice designs similar to that. I can imagine a nice blue Silo with some cool floral inlays or like a forest or something. Anyway, just my imagination running wild thinking about non existant guitars.
 
It's pretty cool, seems like he uses the technique that the guys from King Crimson use to play those frigging huge guitars

what? the Warr Guitar that Trey Gunn plays? those are pretty darn neat. I play Stick (when I haven't had to sell it to pay bills - um... or buy another Music Man...) and the Warr is so much more versitle. it's designed so you can strum or pluck it as well as the given precussive taping technique. if I ever decide I'm ok with you guys thinking I'm a tool (a tool who doesn't really play that well), I'll post a shamelessly self promoting link to my website. I started doing precussive and melodic tapping in highschool (god that seems like a long time ago) and it's done well by me since then.

and if you're going to get an Ibanez, the Jem really is the only one to get (imho... but the mirrored one they have now is kind of stupid.)

gotta disagree, michael manring is the king of the two hand pianistic tapping universe. jordan's great - no doubt there, but manring uses larger, open chords... which is interesting because he has fewer stings to work with. after about an hour stanley jordan runs together for me and I can't tell one thing from another. check out preston reed to. he's right amazing.

I met him...very cool player but sometimes a bit over the top for my tastes...

How many of you guys use open tunings in your playing?
