Cobalt Flatwounds

Any reason why Cobalt Flats are so expensive on the EBMM website? They're listed here for around $10 more than most other places online/in store. Not mad, I was just wondering if I was missing something.

You won't have to buy strings for a while if you end up digging them. They'll last forever and are therefore pretty economical, especially compared to some other flats out there. I don't play anything else on my Bongos. Absolutely wonderful tone and feel. Like nothing I've ever used before. As bright as I need them to be but able to be rolled off into a huge, warm ball with a quick EQ adjustment.

I definitely will try them, been hearing great things and have never played flats, but I'd rather buy them straight from EBMM than from the evil GC and was wondering why the price difference if I'm ordering straight from the factory.

I imagine it has to do with MSRP, MAP, competition among resellers, etc.
