Does this apply to the formula for the wounds only or is there any change to the plain, unwound strings from the traditional tin plated steel as well?

From the descriptions of the product and the videos that have been posted, it sounds like the wounds are the cobalt portions.

should be interesting to try these out... i've never been a player that has really been too fussy on strings... i've been just fine with the cheaper store brands up to the standard brand names... EB Slinky strings just happen to be the cheapest ones in my local shop... but the theory behind these Cobalt ones are the first time in a long time i've had any real interest in strings in general... i'll be trying them out

I'm really looking forward to these strings!

Will there be 6-string Bass sets as well??

....because up until now there are still no 6-string Coated Bass sets.....
