Combo amp suggestion for Bongo4hh

I just received my new bongo 4hh. Love it but I don't like my underpowered Ampeg 115hp. Looking for suggestions on a good combo amp. I am very interested in Markbass 102P for weight and some reviews I've read. Just interested in what suggestions out there for a combo that can will be used for practice and live gigs small to medium. Playing rock, jazz, blues, folk. Thanks!

Markbass really are great! But ill stick with my ampeg stack for metal.

I have a TC Bg250 as well and it gets more use than my Ashdown or Ampeg very light and powerful and the "TonePrint" feature is unbelievable..

i had the 102p, which was a great amp, but i returned it cause i didn't like the non adjustable tweeter. had the bongo 4HS at the time

I love the mesa walkabout scout. Do you really need a combo? An aguilar tone hammer and small cab would work well. I personally use a GK MB500 with an Epifani cab and its the same weight as a combo.

What this thread seems to prove, even with only a few replies
in so far, is that the Boingo 4HH voice is immune to ruination
or degradation ... unless you do something absurd like using a
geetar amp

Thatsedd, I'll throw in with the MarkBass crowd. Got 2x6 and
1x12 MBs. Possibly too few ponies for you, but just buy all the
horsepower you need for your venues and bandmates, and the
Boingo HH will make everything OK.

This acoarst is not unique to the HH config. Boingos rule, and
that is not slang but is proper english. Check out "rule" in any
dictionary. Boingos don't just rule ... they reign soopreem ! No
half decent rig can undermine any Boingo.

Altho rare for me, I have run the Boingo into the house system
now and then [really big room etc]. Boingos do NOT need the
voicing of a bass amp to "correct" their sound. When I go DI I
do use a Fishman acoustic pre, but thaz set close to flat.

I tried five7's TC BG250 and liked it. I'm still using my MB 102P or 121P and have no complaints when matched with any of my MMs.

I found the Ampeg combos underpowered and underwhelming as well. I had a MarkBass CMD 121P for a few years and really loved the sound and power. I switched to the MarkBass 102P, and it sounds great as well. I have a Bongo 4H.

My Bongo5 HH sounds real nice through my Mesa WA Scout 1x15 Combo,a real tubey sounding 300 watt hybrid amp at just over 50 lb's.

Have you considered the new MusicMan 115 B 250 combo? Lightweight, yet lots of punch and power!
