I just bought a used Sub-1 guitar, with a DOB of 08/05/05, I am wondering if this guitar would have the compensated nut on it, or was it released after this guitar was build? Thanks for your help.

The compensated nuts started shipping out from the factory around Sept 16th 2005. When the Open House tour went through the setup area, about half the necks had compensated nuts and about half did not. I haven't gotten any SUB guitars or basses since then, so I can't say if the SUB models have the compensated nut at all.

All Bongo basses and ButterCream instruments shipped with the compensated nut.

According to the FAQ all EBMM guitars even SUB's have compensated nuts, I was just wondering if this one was too old, and it seems so. Thanks
