Conceived and Ordered!

I was at Long and McQuade yesterday with one of their 50 LE HH Stingrays in my hands for half an hour playing it. It was a great instrument and sounded great. I was going to buy it but I just had to try the (single H) Sterling they had before making up my mind. Once I tried the Sterling, I knew the Ray was just not the instrument for me.

Despite the money burning a hole in my pocket and the various EBMM's on their wall, I put in an order for a Sterling HH. I chose Black Cherry Burst with rosewood board and matching headstock. Black pick guard. Now, I wait... It hurts but I know I made the right choice and didn't succumb to my impatience. The Sterling HH will be my ideal instrument and I'm overjoyed.

So, from what I understand, the wait is about 3 months? Is it ever more or less or is it pretty close all the time. I don't plan on bothering either the dealer or EBMM for updates and ETA's because I work in a large customer service department and I know what that's like. Another question though, I was wondering if I contacted customer service, if I could order some black knobs for it. I would be more than happy to pay for them of course. Does anyone know if this is possible?

I do beleive that if you order a bass with a black pickguard, it comes with black knobs and switch tip.

Congrats on the HH though. Black cherry burst is killer!

Black knobs? For what colors? i think its just on sr5's though.

EDIT: guess i never noticed before. Guess my new bass is coming with black knobbies.
