Yes, once again, the Cowpoopers have an outdoor gig, only this time it's in the middle of the afternoon - so you're guaranteed to be reduced, by the end of the show, to a perspiring pile of gelatinous goop.

Sound too good to be true? It isn't!

Kicking off the Downtown Grapevine Summer Concert Series is your very own Cowpilot, favorite of the EBMM Forumites and soccer moms in the north Dallas suburbs. July 2nd! Be there!

That's right, from 3:00 pm until 4:30 this Saturday, July 2, in the middle of the Grapevine Main Street under the Giant Gazebo, Cowpilot will be performing all the songs you've come to expect from guys who only know about three chords!

On the positive side, it's absolutely free and there are a couple of good bars right across the street.

All you Dallas guys (and I think we have, what? One?) are invited out to see the carnage.

Wear shorts! Wear a hat! Bring me some effin' cold water!

Larry, if you have no other plans, then plan to melt.

You know, Grapevine is the home of Norah Jones. I kind of hope she doesn't come see us, though. I love her and I suck.

Jack, there are at least 3 of us in total. My masochistic side is telling me to go. Although that will stretch the limits of my July allocation for sweat.

Well, we promise to suck but we laugh and dance while we suck, so what the hey.

Plus they're bound to have water for sale.

Grapevine really likes doing this kind of thing and for once I'm glad they do.

It think the reverse of this would be better....(for her to love you and suck)

It will help me to get in shape for my gig next Saturday. We are playing at the Taste of Dallas in the West End at 4:00 on the 9th. Market Street stage if anyone is interested. It's free too!

At the risk of being seen without a Bongo, I shall offer you, the dedicated Forumite and long-distance Cowpilot fan, the opportunity to actually see me play something other than the black Bongo fiver.

Photos can be seen here.

A big thanks to MoBay and Tiny Horse Dude for coming out to support us even though it was about a zillion degrees.

We sucked, but we did so with great enthusiasm.

Ask Larry about "Knock Three Times".

BTW, the recent gig pics were graciously supplied by Larry (mobay) who apparently has one hell of a nice camera.

Also, I am wearing my basses lower, so there.

Nice pics - and yes, your bass appears to have moved south a bit! ;)

When Cowpilot embarks on their East Coast Tour and gets within 150 miles of NYC, I'll be there. :)

So Larry... About that "Knock Three Times..."

It was all good. The coolness of Cowpilot helped to keep the sweating to a minimum. About "Knock Three Times", I guess it's like any other show. There were a few bumps in the road, but I don't dwell on those as long as the majority of it let me walk away happy. I'll be going out again on the 23rd if my calendar stays clear. That gig is only about a 15 minute drive for me to get to.

Very nice looking (and i'm sure sounding) lakaland. Due the color, ZZTop would have played : "pearl necklace" (sorry for this one).

MNF

Oh noooo, not “Knock Three Times”!!! I played for Billy “Crash” Craddock for seven years and it took ten years of therapy to get over it, I feel another visit to the shrink coming on…

Glad you gig went well and no one melted.

Chuck

Wow Jack
Two Laklands posted on our site in about a month. You must feel pretty secure here. Dargin how is the slate shaping up for the new moderator appointments? I don't know about you but this can't help Jack.

Can't you see? It's a desperate ploy to get Dargin to surrender his Olive Bongo. He's hoping you'll take pity on him for being reduced to a Lakland player... ;)

Did I mention that most of what I do with other basses is actually market research?

Yes, it's true, and I've been compiling data on a number of non-EBMM basses in order to contrast and compare.

You'll be glad to know that my intense (and personally funded) investigations prove what we all know - that EBMM basses are simply better.

Ahem.

Shamelessly, sir, without shame, I am.

But we should really concentrate on, um, what kind of guitars Jon has, I think.
