Hello,

I'm new to this forum. I wanted to say 'hello' and thanks to EBMM and JP for my JP6.

I've wanted to try one out for some time, and finally saw one at a local store. It's a very innovative guitar that has already displaced others I own based on its great playability and balance.

It's serial number is G33113. Could someone help me to figure out its date of birth?

Thanks. I look forward to some great discussion here.

Best,
Marcus2

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your excellent choice of guitar - I have two and one on order (a limited edition 2006).

Great guitars, very versatile - you know you'll need more...:D

Thanks everyone.

From my short time visiting the forum, I've enjoyed seeing how helpful people are and am truly impressed with the involvement of folks from EBMM. Seeing administrators from the company post dates of birth and answer questions about the guitars is very, very cool.

I also liked reading the posts from Big Poppa regarding the new JP prototype. It makes this place feel a bit like a club.

Thanks again for the welcome. I'll try to post pictures of my JP6 after I take them.

Best,
Marc

As promised, here's my photo.

Given that I got this guitar Labor Day weekend, I think that I can safely say that any "honeymoom" period would be over by now. After nearly three months with this guitar, all I can say is "wow". It's the one for me.

I've read many times that an enthusiast would say the guitar felt like an extension of their own body. I finally feel that. Though I have played many a guitar I liked, this one really is different for me. While practicing this weekend, stuff just came out without me thinking. It was just plain fantastic.

So, here's a big "thanks" to EBMM and JP for making something so innovative.

Cheers,
Marc
