D string buzz NO MORE

its me again...someone might recall my d string buzz problem. ( d buzzed when i play it open ) someone ( cant remember WHO ) among all the great advices and tips, sugested it might be too much wide space nut issue. and i give it a try, i made it with old and primitive, yet obviously, effective way - i just put piece of small hard paper underneath the string in nut space. buzz instantly disappeared.
so if you experience string buzz, before all the neck adjustments, string action calculation etc etc, try this oldschool tip, it might works!

I'm not sure I follow this. The nut is the plastic part where the string contacts at the head right?

I would use a drop of super glue instead. Play all your open stings and compare. You will hear a difference in the string with the paper under it.

i salute you and your advice!!! could you be my technician? for free, ofcourse...
actually, i knew about that tip ( saw it sometime ago on my buddies guitars... ) but thought it cant be applied for such of instruments like EBs..especcialy as my SR5 is almost new one...

superglue idea...hm... sounds fine, but if not works,then its somehow damn hard to get rid off it, as its superglued, right? paper - well you just move it. and i dont think i ve heard any difference in sound. or i was too thrilled for getting that buzz disappear at last????

No, I don't think so. I'm not being a smart @ss or anything, I'm really not familiar w/ the bits on the bass.

I think the idea w/ the superglue is to apply a drop and let it dry w/out glueing anything directly to it. Then it is just a dried drop of glue that will act as a spacer. Then if it doesn't work just pry the drop off w/ a little heat maybe?
