Im new here , Popped over from G101 to find help !! Im trying to find the DOB of my MM guitar. Can you give me any links etc where i can trace the serial number ?

OH! I see now, you want the date of birth... ooooops.............
 
The S/N plates that EB uses have no "direct" decoding, there is no particular series for a given year. The plates are in a box, they reach in, grab one, and toss it on your guitar. :eek: I'm sure that one of the EB staff will see this on Tues (figgering they have today off?) and run the number through their database and tell you what instrument it goes to, along with that instrument's birthday :D

I would have to guess 12-03

But I guess I am cheating, only because I have a white sparkle JP here with SN G193XX that's from '03 and I think that based on the current production rate I am reasonably close, unless his # got to the bottom of the bucket :D
